nathanchorley Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 (edited) Hi all. May I ask your opinions on the MBW Yacht Master (Seen on Eurotimez)? Is it a accurate rep, or is there anyothers better out there? I have seen the WM9 ones, but Im not really prepered to pay that much for a rep just yet. Thanks Edited July 8, 2009 by nathanchorley
ubiquitous Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 If you are looking for the most accurate out of the box, WM9 is the way to go. Pricey? Yes... But so is buying the same watch 2 or 3 times over trying to find the right one

ubiquitous Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 I've whittled it down to a small collection... Maybe 9 or so total. I've let some good ones go... Some that I wish I hadn't Win some, lose some...
nathanchorley Posted July 8, 2009 Author Report Posted July 8, 2009 Thanks for your help (nice pics!!) What is the KU24 movement like on the WM9? Anygood?
ubiquitous Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 When I had it, it was fine. No problems, good time keeping, etc. If I had kept it, I'd have eventually opted for a movement swap of one kind or another...
jfreeman420 Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 No one has really said much about this Yachtmaster on Kings showbox: Yachtmaster It has the 2892 movement, thiner case and higher crown position all for $385. This one can also take a genuine movement. Is WM9's that much better to justify almost double the price?
alligoat Posted July 8, 2009 Report Posted July 8, 2009 What is the KU24 movement like on the WM9? Anygood? Isn't the KU24 an asian 2824-2, aka a clone? Sort of like the KU-92- an asian 2892-2. Of course, if George services it, it should be fine. And of course, it's a simple swap to put in the 2824-2 swiss, and it would have the proper crown position
