So, I figure I may as well hang on to this one and turn it into a test bed for mods. Since the pearl and insert seems to be the weak link on this, I decided to experiment with this aspect first (again). So, here we are. Same method used for the pearl as my last go around; this time I recessed it as per popular demand, and I also trimmed down the back of the insert so that it fits flush in the bezel. The finish on this one is rough; it was a testing piece afterall, but with some refinement to the application it could work. Temporarily fitted: Kind of a hassle to do, though...
