jman16 Posted July 24, 2009 Report Share Posted July 24, 2009 Hi All I got a dssd 21j (v5 seller says with real sapphire)the dial does not look clear through the crystal.It looks ever so sligthly foggy in certain angles.Any ideas?should i send the watch back?.I have a gmt11c which is very sharp and clear. Jkay Posted July 29, 2009 Report Share Posted July 29, 2009 The DSSD is a 4 kilometer depth rated watch. It's crystal, even in the rep is very very thick ... it's not like a normal watch crystal. It has a lot of distortion, and refraction "milkiness" at angles. People on this board who do reviews of the DSSD pull out the real rep crystal and replace it with a paper-thin rep crystal so it photographs better.
