Has anyone put this to the test on an out of the box Davidsen Pam? I know 3 atm is not that much but should be good enough for swimming.

If he guarantees it, Id say it would b fine then. Just don't wear a leather strap into the water >.> at least not a nice one.

I am not so sure about it. I used my watch during the bath and steam get inside. I would not recommend to take your watch for water activities. I use my g shocks for that.

I wouldn't recommend it. But if you must, please be sure to grease the seals with a trusted watchsmith.

Cheers!

I'd definately do that first!

Yep, whilst in fact most reps are indeed water proof to at least 3 or 4 ATM and those that arn't can usualy be made so (with the exception of some dress watches)ALLWAYS have them tested first. Never even spit on an untested watch, rep or gen.

Definitely get it tested first. I know that David says his watches are tested to 3ATM. But I've opened three of them that I received this past month, and two out of three did not have any silicone on the gaskets. And one of those had a gasket which had been squashed by the case back.

[My Dsn 177 steamed after a couple of trips to the pool,

not the same watch anymore, reliability has gone out the window. Like watching a deteriorating patient.

Don't bother.Please

Do a search for the instruction! I use all my reps in the water, except the Breitling Navis!!!

The PAMS are next to the Rolexes that are easy to water resist, although I won't trust the Daytonas!

My AP ROOs and Chopard MM have passed the 10 ATM test after I greased all the rubber parts!

I got my 111 back from DSN today and it survived the deep end of my pool which is all I really care for. he replaced a missing gasket at the crown.
