mastrmindalliance
Hi, trying to indentify this watch is actually how I found this forum... It was bought at an LAX airport duty free shop, 9 years ago. While it doesn't appear to be Victorinox or Wenger it's branded Swiss Army. It was pressure tested many years ago but given my age (I was very young) I don't have any details about that except the anecdote that it was "waterproof". Shopping centre watch repair shops are unable to open it as it supposedly requires the 'old Rolex tool' to undo the screw back. So the twice it's needed a new battery in the nine years I've had it, it has had to go to a top level jeweller/watch servicer. As the logo doesn't match any of the official Swiss Army brands, and given it's place of purchase it's hard to believe it's a rep. My best guess is that perhaps it was built by a now defunct Swiss Army homage brand. Weeks of intermittent googling has turned up exactly no info on it, or any similar version of the logo. Perhaps the experienced folk here might be able to help? Thanks for reading. charmquark
I think it's an older Wenger model. My wife has one from Canada that also doesn't have the Wenger name. There is/was some trademark dispute with a Quebec firm called Wenger.
mastrmindalliance
Thanks, charmquark. That was my thought exactly but (google) research has shown the Wenger's logo has remained the same for many years and was never oval. While I'd really like to ID this I don't mind if it turns out be completely worthless, just would like to know it's story.
Pugwash
While I'd really like to ID this I don't mind if it turns out be completely worthless, just would like to know it's story. Tritium dialled watches are rarely worthless.
