V Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 or. when the dial guy met the crown guard guy After 2 and a half years of many phonecalls and endless e-mails I had the pleasure to meet with a certain 'fish' from the uk and see his amazing Pam collection LIVE.. I' ve already seen most of his straps because at some period of time every one was at my house but havent seen the watches.. Of course Simon is a great guy and an assett to the community and happy to be my friend. The only photo because the light was horrible and the customers at Starbucks were wondering what they do 2 guys and 20 watches
Drulee Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 Both very nice watches. Being fairly new to the hobby and since both CGs aren't pictured, I don't feel embarrassed to ask , which is the rep and which PAM (036/040)?

fishgodeep Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 "It's the not the quantity ...but the quality" as they say ....and it was great to meet up with V after all this time! 3 hours flew by and the talk was so deep into Panerai and strap stories that I did become oblivious to the strange looks and "straining necks" of the other customers!! The were about 20 watches and at least 2 straps for each one with V's collection there as well This is a sight to behold when you see the variety and quality of V's straps , each one in such perfect condition I was taken by quite a few All the best for the trip to Greece and make sure you go "hide hunting" @Dluddy...looking forward to it, mines a Becks! TK471 Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 For the record, you're both valuable assets to this community. Two of the truly great ones. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
Drulee Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 Left is a 61 franken and right 118 gen Boy was I wrong, two more PAMs with tobacco dials and titanium cases. These are my favorites. I just wish they had one that was a sandwich dial, tobacco that is.
