docblackrock Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 The blue-purple tint on the AR crystal of the black dial one gives it away as the rep. Also, my eagle eye says the blue dial is just that tad bit sharper in detail (subdials) and the crown teeth look better defined.

Omega Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 Wow so I actually was right! Yes and no! You was right - the black is gen, but your explanation (small chronos must have rings) was false! And BTW: One of the watches from the pics comes from me, so I knew the answer before...

nevikwen Posted August 6, 2009 Report Posted August 6, 2009 I would love to get a Tag heuer link! However what stopped me was the case back. The Gen link case back has a see through crystal and a like decorative rotor which the rep don't have. Plus what was mentioned previously, the rep link with black dial doesn't have the sliver subdial rings which the gen one does. I wonder when they will release a better version that fixes those small flaws by then I will definitely get a Tag Link
