JohnDorian Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 I'm inclined to believe it is from the drilled gears and the 3 things near the jewel shock absorber.
trailboss Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 Mate, TBH it is geting so hard to tell now days you allmost have to hold the thing in your hand and have a real close look at the fit and finish. Some of the clones are now cosmeticly perfect so it's down to a few small finish items. Have a look at THIS thread on WUS for an idea of what to look for regards fit and finish. The stampings near the reg and balence wheel are a good tell on some as the stampings (model#, ETA branding etc) are perfect on the gen and can be rough on the clone. Col.
Pugwash Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 It'll get to the point it doesn't matter. We're not there yet, but I can see the day coming.

ETA deciding not to sell to anyone except SWATCH Group companies is slitting their own throats. The Chinese will rush to fill the need for quality movements, and that's that.
