I love the simple elegance of this watch...

I will admit I got this watch wrong. I preferred the gold/blue in pictures, but in reality, the all-blue is a lot more striking.

That is until one enjoys Puggy's pictorials...

I need a photo that shows the rings in the numerals. I'll take one while I'm resetting the hands and cleaning off the apparent graphite dust on the dial. :o

The Blue portuguese chrono is the best looking out of the whole lot.

The dial colour is inaccurate though. Its pure white in the gen but the rep has it in silver. What's wring with the rep makers.

So Pug, graphite treatment or a gen movt?

I can't afford a gen movement. Graphite fixed it, though. It's been running solidly on my wrist for three days.

Simple and elegant - LOVE IT>..

dude what do you mean -dead?? like baterry not workin or what?

Dead as in the movement wouldn't run. It's a common problem with these watches.

Needless to say, I fixed it, but who knows how long it'll last before needing fixing again.

Well I have yet to have it arrive but I am as close to a gen as possible with my IWC 3714-17 Blue :whistling:

All I really need is a gen case - the straps of the gen I dont care for anyway

For me it is my grail piece and I am now starting the IWC 3714-01 version :victory:

not true......i see it at the ADs every day.

i know what you mean though. i think the one with gold dials & hands has a very white dial. but the one with blue hands FOR SURE exists with the same silver/grey dial.

however, the blue hands and numbers are a tad darker on the gen.
