Guest Sql_pl
Browsing some for sale ads I just noticed there was an update to rep clasp! First sec@12s were fitted with lightly laser etched Audemars Piguet on clasp like this: But I see some are now available with decent engraving: Cool, maybe not really important but still worth noting IMO. Thanks!
StormTooper4
Agreed its better look for sure. Still bloody uncomfortable if worn tight on the wrist thoughy. Well on my girly wrists. Are there any AP alternatives to the deployant that anyone has any experience with? ST4
MADRED7
The new engraving looks nice....now the dealers should lower the price for the laser edges ones @ST4....have you tried to mount the strap "up-side-down"...short part at 6 and long part at 12 o

jarpo
The clasp in my secs@12 safari was just sh.. It worked for one day, then I can't keep it closed anymore. Appart of this it's bloody uncomfortable. I have purchased a buterfly type deployant buckle in the bay for a few dolars. I hope it arrives soon. MADRED7
YES it will be fine once you turned it "up-side-down" I have some "older" MBW deployants and they are all engraved, nice, deep and sharp....and further more they do have the correct markings inside whereas the normal clasps we know come un-marked...only with the AUDEMARS PIGUET outside. Cheers all Theo
jarpo
Already turned it, well I did this even before winding, but it is not comforable at all. It happens the same as with my Portuguese. Maybe my wrist is too small... by the way, how can I remove the clasp from the strap in my AP ROO?? I removed the small screw, but nothing happens Edited September 11, 2009 by jarpo
rogerthat
Jarpo, I had a clasp that would not stay closed. I with my thumbs bent the A and the P in, first time it bent a little too much , did it a little the other way and it is perfect shuts tight and stays shut. 1000x better. jarpo
Yes exactly!!! I reasiled this just after posting my question!! I was looking at the closing system of the clasp, and thought...if I bent one of the parts, it will make more tension, let's try... OHH MY GOD, MY CLASP WORKS!!! Anyway I will change the clasp, when I receive the one I bought, it is still very uncomfortable.
apollo22
I've got both the laser etched buckle as well as the engraved one. Here's some side by side shots. Edited September 14, 2009 by apollo22
