takumee Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 hi all, whom can i look for to help me mod my red 1680? thanks
alligoat Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 It would help if you told us where you live. EU, USA, asia, Australia, etc.
SilverG Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 What mods do you want to do? With some tools, most mods can be done at home all by yourself. That's why this hobby is great
alligoat Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 I thought someone told me Spin Master was in Singapore. His specialty is vintage Daytonas (6263 & 6265's) with serviced 7760 movements, but I would think he could mod a red sub, it's really pretty simple.
takumee Posted September 17, 2009 Author Report Posted September 17, 2009 mine is a genuine swiss ETA movement with silver date wheel. when i first got hold of the watch (new), i have tighten the case back but water still gets in. i send the watch to my regular watch smith and he told me the crystal got some crack which i could not see from my naked eye. he nevertheless proceed to change the crystal for me but the same problem surface again. i understand the fun part is to diy myself. but this is really my 1st attempt and i do not wish to make matter worse. i hope to have the dial vintaged, cg trimmed, crown change and get a clark crystal. anyone can do all these at one gp? spin master in Singapore? how can i get hold of him? thanks
