Rep bucks ?

I Believe that this was tried on a predecessor of RWG.. RG has implemented it .. although I don't know how they use it, or for what.. but what do you all think of RWG rep. bucks ??

It was brought up last year again to be somehow used in the raffles...

anybody have any ideas how we can implement this.. a long time ago when I worked the clubs as a bartender we used to have Casino nights where the proceeds would go to charity.. would we be able to implement a "purely for fun" using rep dollas as play money

Or use the sporting events world wide to play some sort of "parlay sheets" week to week ??

Horse races..... F-1 races..... cockroach races..(we have the 747's here )...Soccer games.. NFL ... whateva !!! a section for this would be fun..

the sky is the limit for the events would be limitless.. bet on a newborns birth date.. anything..

and who would qualify and how much to start out.. and how to get more dolla's.. and what could you buy with you dolla's ?? reps ????

Personally I see rep bucks as just a bit of fun, I believe thats the way RG and RWI use them too.

The ideas you have outlined are all good but as you say the sky's the limit.

It also allows members (once they have collated enough bucks) to run their own fun comps and raffles.

Agree KB.. I'm looking for feedback.. as usual .. a lot of views .. no replies.. apathy.. I don't want to 'try' something without member input.. no sense spending more time on something that nobody cares about.. even if it's a good theme.. it's only as good as members make it..

Great idea! you can start by a fixed amount of rep dollars for every member. Run tipping competition for instance or bet pools with smallish amounts. winner gets the pool for instance.some one has to be the administrator though. not sure how to keep track of the cash flow though.

Start with a fixed ammount then, for supporters, a little bit more of a fixed ammount. How about once we get a certain ammount, we can buy a "Prize" in a prize thread. either through gambling with them or, giving them to eachother, donating.

transferring dollas would not be an option.. in fact that would not be allowed.. to many "groups" can team up to gain an advantage over individuals..that would be a "fix"
