gplracer
Anyone ever had any issues shipping from U.S. to China. My DW 6263 needs a new movement. DW will replace it for free or I can pay $120 to have one shipped to me. Of course then I have to pay someone to put it in. What do you think? Potential customs issue shipping out of the U.S.? Logan
A lot of fights with dealers on the boards have started from stuff shipped back to China, its not very reliable it seems. If you have the option to have the watch repaired locally I'd do that in preference. If you do send anything to China be very clear about the address, and if possible have the dealer send the address in Chinese to attach as well as the english version. Use tracking. alligoat
I would think shipping back to DW would be pretty straight forward. Like Logan says, use tracking and declare it as a watch for repair. When I did it a few years ago, it wasn't cheap- $20-25, as I recall. But it is still less than a new movement and paying a watchmaker $30-40 to install it.
hiker01
I ship to China when needed with no problem! Use USPS Priority Flat Rate Small Box, should be around $12.50 online! Declare it as watch Sample and Describe it as Defective watch case~! Good Luck......!
