Tribal Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 Hello Gang, now I know how WM9 made the Pearls of their Inserts... I experimented today a bit and this is the result... That's a standard Rep Insert, I applied some SL on the Pearl and put some glossy varnish on it.... Thats maybe the reason why most of the WM9 Pearls look different Looks good I think
vlydog Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 You never fail to impress. Thank you.
ammandel Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 Looks great, actually looks 100% like the WM9 to me.. I think it only looks diff from the gen because the gen has a shallower, domed shape of SL inside of it, I think if you could have played with the shape & (amount?) a little it would have possibly looked 1:1
coolfire Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 You never fail to impress. Thank you. +1 to that. Tribal always impresses!

It can be done better for shure. The plastic dot inside the Pearl must removed, than you can apply more SL a bit less glossy varnish and that's it. Btw the gen Pearl is also slightly doomed the overall quality of a gen Insert is much better and worth the money.
klocklind1 Posted September 26, 2009 Report Posted September 26, 2009 You ALWAYS finds something to mod with Your subs!! Thanks for posting it
Omega Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 Very nice done, my friend! Looks great... ! It's a really good option to a gen, and not to spend a lot of money on that. But the rep inserts are very susceptible for scraches, that's the only problem...
