DSSD V5: He valve

Recommended Posts

I am already owning an "ultimate" (V3 or V4?) DSSD and as far as I can judge it is recommended to seal the "He valve" with epoxy as shown by gioarmani to avoid damage by water.

As I am considering the purchase of ET's V5 I would like to know if the He valve of the V5 is a reliable and working one. Or should I go for an epoxy seal as well?

I'm pretty sure that you can easily tell by pressing on the HeV from the outside of the watch. If it presses into the case, then it's incorrect (operates backwards, and would let water into the case), and should be cemented in place.
