baltic Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 (edited) Hi folks, As you can see from my sig I'm up to 9 watches now and feel that 1 more will do for me (always just one more isn't it ) Anyhoo I do feel that I can only justify 1 more and any future additions will be after I sell/swap one of the others. So... is there anything you feel that's missing from my collection? (I'll post pics after the w'end) Any watches that scream for my attention? Over to you... Edited August 29, 2006 by baltic
ubiquitous Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 Perhaps that TAG Link chrono that everyone is raving about?
baltic Posted August 24, 2006 Author Report Posted August 24, 2006 Hmm, haven't been following that one. I'll take a look. Ta.
ubiquitous Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 I was tempted to suggest a Rolex, but figured that baltic might not care for them (based on his current roster)
baltic Posted August 24, 2006 Author Report Posted August 24, 2006 Aye, I'm not much into Rollies (no disrespect to any fans of them!).
fotoman Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 Aye, I'm not much into Rollies (no disrespect to any fans of them!). I'm not a big rollie fan - however, this piece, i think is special its a 1950's chronograph http://perfect-clones.com/rldv10015-dayton...7750-p-525.html the breitling GT and many of the pam 42 chronos are overlooked - they are super classy - dressy yet sporty and i think some have a very retro feel This being the one i would suggest the most wempe http://perfect-clones.com/pn20401-radiomir...nos-p-1697.html check out the pics linked in my sig for the pam 47, very similiar model
ubiquitous Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 Mmmmm... Royal Oak. I love mine to bits... Speaking of which... I measured it earlier today... 36mm x 8.8mm. It's a good one
Linder Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 Thanks, Ubi. Pics make everything better!
Highflyingclive Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 (edited) Go wild. Pam 026 PVD Destro. here: http://s40.photobucket.com/albums/e230/watchmmx/PVD%20026/ Go sane. Pam 069 GMT No. Get both. Ten watches? You have only just started your collection :-) Edited August 24, 2006 by Highflyingclive
Watchmeister Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 New version of VC overseas. By the way, what is in your collection? You mentioned no pics for a few days but this guesswork is tough.
Linder Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 Actually, I think that does meet all the requirements as well as being very, very close out of the box. If you wanted to take it to the next level, Silix can source a spare dial with the better cross very reasonably. Good answer!
Linder Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 Wait, I'm getting two seperate threads confused..
Linder Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 By the way, what is in your collection? Omega Speedmaster Professional Omega Seamaster Professional Omega Planet Ocean IWC Portuguese IWC FA Jones Jaeger LeCoultre Master Control Panerai PAM 005 Panerai PAM 183 Panerai PAM 196
baltic Posted August 29, 2006 Author Report Posted August 29, 2006 As promised here's some rough and ready pics of my collection. First the PAMs: The 005 was from EL and the 183 from PT both were superlumed and had the short pin fixed by Finepics. The 196 from PT has the steel/titanium bracelet from EL
baltic Posted August 29, 2006 Author Report Posted August 29, 2006 Next the Omegas: The Moonwatch is from EL and has been serviced by The Zigmeister, the SMP and PO are both from PT. I aligned the bezel on the SMP myself.
baltic Posted August 29, 2006 Author Report Posted August 29, 2006 Finally the IWCs and Jaeger The Portuguese (a bit of a fantasy watch to be honest) and the Master Control were not from any of our dealers, the FA Jones was from EL.
eddhead Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 Possibly a Pam 029 gmt? Nice watch, but tough to find.
eddhead Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 Next the Omegas: The Moonwatch is from EL and has been serviced by The Zigmeister, the SMP and PO are both from PT. I aligned the bezel on the SMP myself. These are great shots of great watches.. I have the SMP with an aftermarket insert.. darker matte finish, more purpley than the electric blue that came with the original.. not sure which is correct to the gen, but I really like it. The PO with the orange numerics may very well be my next purchase.. i think that is a hot watch.
baltic Posted August 31, 2006 Author Report Posted August 31, 2006 Thanks for the input guys. I'm leaning towards a PAM 111 or 127 with full mods or maybe a vintage PAM, hmm...
