  1. For people worried about servicing, just buy an Asian movement. I have a Miyota copy that is more than 10 years old, keeps good time and has never been serviced.
  2. I would get a Glasshute diver with big date.
  3. Yes, someone over there showed a picture of the rep Hublot BB to the CEO of the company on the timezone forum. Needless to say he got lawyers involved.
  4. If you want a 2893 mvt, it's hard to beat a Hamilton. One intersting advantage for me on a 2836 moded GMT is that the GMT hand moves smoothly instead of hourly jumps(only when adjusted with the crown). The reason it is advantageous for me is that India time is 11h30min ahead.
  5. Don't see how the watch is any different than an Archimede pilot watch that is available for less than $500 shipped.
  6. I've been reading the Hublot forum for quite a while. They've always had plans for an in house chrono movement.
  7. Glasshute Senators with the panoramic date are not going to be replicated properly.
  8. They are soon going to be in the high-end of the high end watch companies.
  9. At the Wynn they gave me a iW magazine and an AP book/catalog.
  10. I was shocked when I read the first post. Knowing that eddie will be back makes me feel better.
  11. You haven't reached the epitome of gay until you start talking about Cartier.
  12. When I went to the Wynn Rolex shop in Las Vegas 6 weeks ago, there were 5 stainless steel submariners in stock.
  13. That there is a genuine.......replica.
  14. Thank goodness. The patek forum on timezone had a cow when that watch debuted.
  15. OK, I went back and really took a close look at the bently. The brushed case bently GT is actually a special edition Continental. The reg GT has a shiny case and braclet just like ours. Went to the Wynn. Tried on the AP Royal Oak in RG and SS. Tried on the Bently Flying B in Rose Gold. Beautiful. Also tried on a A. Lange & Sohne Datograph. Awesome. Also held the Rolex President Platinum, that thing weighs a lot. Oh, and the Wynn Rolex store has 5 SS Submariners.
  16. I was at the T shop in Caeser's Palace. The watches I saw: Rolex EII black dial: Our reps are very close(esp the new ones with the correct hand stack). I wasn't wearing mine so direct comparison wasn't possible. Breitling Bently GT: The gen blue dial has a shiny case and band just like the reps but the other dial colors have a brushed case with a combination shiny/brushed band. Otherwise, they are verey close. Of course everyone knows about the date color and font. Omega: The large Railmaster is a huge watch. Just like the Bently Flying B Also saw the Bell & Ross square watch. That thing is super huge. It makes panerais look small. Also saw a Glasshutte Senator Moon. Beautiful watch. This one or the Hublot BB is the one I would probably get. At the Venetian: I saw a Hublot Rose Gold BB with diamond bezel. Awesome watch, only $15,000. Someone bought the big size Rose Gold BB without diamond bezel in the 5 minutes that I spent in that store. At Tourneau, someone bought a Patek Phillipe while I was there. Also, Las Vegas is full of money. I've seen countless Cartiers, Rolexes.
  17. Great post as usual. This is why I won't buy a watch that has extra gears added on to put the seconds in a different place than the movement is actually made for.
  18. No factories, just one little elf. That explains the same mistakes again and again
  19. I think Rolex uses white lume. It doesn't glow as brightly as Pan. but still brightly enough. Oh, and thanks Davidsen. This is a great development.
  20. Same with me. My EL Breitling Bently GT is running strong after a month. I adjusted it so it is running approx +2 seconds per week.
