One of the drug reps that calls on our offices complemented me on my EL Breitling GT. He wears a no-date Sub(non-vintage). I thanked him and told him I got it from the Bently dealership in downtown Chicago.
Well, I am one of those types that takes off casebacks. I have adjusted my watches to be within about +2 to +4 seconds a day. The Bently GT from EL is special in that I was able to adjust it to within +1 seconds over the last 5 days total.
Honestly, this is what I'd do. I'd get the 005 rep. Have The Zigmeister fix the recessed pin, relume it, get an aftermarket crown and have zig overhaul the movement as well. For about $600 you would have one that Mr. Panerai couldn't tell from the real one. Save the mone. But if your really want a gen. I'd get one with a date display.
From the review:
" I cannot think of another consumer product in which the gulf between the publicly perceived quality and the reality I saw is as broad as with the Explorer."
I guess the reviewr hasn't heard of Bose speakers.
Ok. I've figured out how to multiply using the sliderule.
Line up the numbers you want to multiply and read the answer across from the 1.0 on the inside scale.
That is one of the oldest scams in the book. Using pictures of genuines and sending a watch that looks nothing like the gen once they safely have your money.
I really wanted to read that thread but I got hypnotized by the avatar of speedy1 on the first page on this thread

Interesting about the jeans. Levi jeans material is made by Arvind Mills in Amdavad, India and you can buy jeans there that are the exact same quality a lot cheaper.
