The 3601 molinja movt in this looks gorgeous in person....I know it's not a cortebert but it's works for me! And look at that profile shot of the plexi Hopefully this will be the first of a few pieces for me. I know the CG is upside down for this model but I like the engraving to be visible:D Onto the pics! Khurram
Ok guys.. Here are my results of aging/yellowing the plexi.. needless to say I'm very happy with how it came out! It's qutie hard to pick up the beauty without sunlight shining on it and it's night here now in Miami so better pics to come tomorrow. But I think you can see the effect it's created on the plexi. Looks perfectly aged to me now! It looks too yellow in the second picture but that's not how it appears in person..hard to capture the subtle hue on it without daylight. athan
Plexi looks so cool - how did you do it?
Khurram
Ok guys..key to the plexi is this. You need to use turmeric. It's an indian/pakistani spice that's used in a lot of the ethnic cooking. I took 1 teaspoon turmeric and mixed it with two teaspoons of warm water to make a thin paste. Then I put the crystal face down in it and left it for about 15-20 minutes. When I took it off and wiped it clean it had left a nice yellowish hue.
