  1. I would go for 2x TC 93150 at least. Is there anybody able and willing to undertake the comms with TC?
  2. I have a great old MBK 93150 with gen links and clasp on my MBK / The Zigmeister 1665 GW. 3 is not correct and links are thinner than the gen ones, one of the best rep options ever. Very rare species these days. I would take a couple if TC could get some made.
  3. This one though looks on the right direction, although wrong in most areas... http://imgur.com/a/wkr4U
  4. Thank you boneventura, They ask for $69.50 +$5 shipping via airmail. Good to know the ewatchparts option. I personally have no experience with any of both, maybe someone else does?
  5. Thank you By-Tor So there is actually some little blue tint? are the Krysworks right?
  6. Hi to all, Back again with some new questions on the blue Bond SMP 2531.80.00. I was inquiring about a replacement sapphire crystal and I asked Krysworks what they have available. I asked for a crystal with single AR on the inside, transparent, no tint. They reply promptly, saying that they actually offer a "2.5 x 30.5 sapphire with single side AR, but there is a slight blue hue in the AR coating if you look at it from a certain angle" They claim that it is made to the exact genuine spec. Since I don't have any experience with the gen I kindly ask for your contribution on that. On the pictures it seems that it doesn't have the bluish hue... So, does the gen 2531.80 blue Bond SMP have or not a slight blue hue under certain angles? Many thanks for your replies :-) Athan PS. Mesh sexiness eye candy...
  7. Hey gringo, I like Gringo straps pretty much, why don't you PM me so we can talk about some Gringo pricing?
  8. By-Tor, P4GTR, thank you guys for your calm advice. The Bond SMP is a must have gen watch, I fully agree with you. Also, thanks Triplehd for the alpha-watch source for inserts. You were right about their SMP bezel, although the pearl is not 100% flat and it sits closer to the top, it overall looks really cool...
  9. IMO if the case is acceptable (HE and CGs) you can add a proper AR sapphire and relume the dial and hands. You could even swap them for a set of gens. And the pearl can be modded to be flash in the insert. The most essential part of a watch is the case.
  10. How easy is to get a decent crystal for this watch? Would the genuine fit?
  11. @ Mickey, Thank you for your very informative review and ideas. Although I searched a lot it seems that I missed it. So, is it the shape of the crystal or that it lacks an AR? Should I just send it to the Chief or changing the crystal is one-way? @ Andy, she is asking $176/$225 shipped for the clone/eta 2824 movements respectively.
  12. I'm adding some pictures, maybe you can guess more...
  13. Thank you Scotty for bulleting the details so nicely! What about the crystal? Does it have to be flat or slightly domed? Also, does the genuine crystal have an AR coating?
  14. Hi to all Blue SPM fans, I'm looking to get a decent blue SPM with "Swiss" Eta movt but I don't have any experience on this model. Has anyone got this one from Mary recently? Any comments? If not that what's the best available in the market? Kind regards, Athan
  15. Great job as always :-) Thank you Simon, Please count me in for 2x sets. Kind regards, Athan
  16. I also have the ETZ silver overlay but the font looks too thin to my eyes. Nothing to do with the gen size. And off course the ETZ font is not embossed and there is no ray brushed finishing.
  17. Hi to all, I just came accross to these two photos from a gen silver 1570 date wheel (from a 1665) and I thought of sharing them with you... Look at the texture of the fonts. Check out the superb "brushed" silver finish. When I'm looking at it, I just can't help it - I want to have a bite! @#$*!!! Would we ever lay our hands on a rep date wheel overlay that good? Would this be ever possible?
  18. Buying an MBK 1665 GW and get all the necessary mods done by an expert watchmaker from RGW, maybe is a time and - sure is a - money consuming process, but it is the only way to go if you're looking for high accuracy. One big unsolved issue I'm facing all these years, is how to get a decent 93150 bracelet rep. The one coming with the MBK watch is a piece of total crap. The gen is very expencive for my budget. Chris is offering a better version of the rep hollow 93150, but still with the wrong clasp. Couple of months ago Helina made an effort to get me a rep 93150 with a better clasp and the correct link. Unfortunately at the end she didn't make it. Should anyone know any trusted source for a good 93150 rep please contribute. The gen 93150 clasp with the correct link The bracelet Helina tried to find but with no success. Cheers
  19. Pictures were actually taken by Domi and sent to me right after the completion of the mods ;-))))
  20. This post is about my precious MBK 1665 GW originally bought from Reg three years ago. List of recent mods done by Domenico some days ago: - Servicing and installation of a slow bit ETA with flat dates (overlay by Chris) - Hands vintaging - Yuki pearl vintaging and installation - Glass cleaning DOMI I just can't wait to get this beauty back on my wrist :-)))) Many thanks my friend :-))))) List of intitial mods done by Zig the Meister him self: - CG reshaping - Lug holes drilling - Genuine 7mm crown & tube installation - OEM flat tropic 39 installed - Dial vintage lume
  21. Suppose you have a gen dial, which case would you go for? Would the gen dial fit in any of the cases available? Gen date window VS ETA datewheel?
  22. Have you checked Kings? Still no beveled date window and the ugly chunky cross is there The cannon detail is there and the text looks better. How does this clasp look to you? I have no experiece to tell. Any comments on the engraving?
