  1. Yes you're right! I've just checked with DSN and he has them for $30 shipped. I'm ordering two sets!
  2. My pre-sales transaction with Paul was smooth, he delivered OK, but the guy was not flexible with spare parts or "special" requests e.g. extra lug bars, crowns, crown guards, case backs. His aftersales responce was very bad and at the end he didn't provide me any aftersales service at all.
  3. This is a great lokking watch you got my friend. Where did you get the hands for the Molinja???
  4. There is some pricing for the straps (accessories) but no prices for the watches. When/if I get a reply from them I'll let you know.
  5. Also nice straps and interesting buckles: http://www.naligabrandname.com/product/pro_cat.php?cid=59&cid_pr=59&cnm=Accessories

  12. It seems that his Pam4PreA has a DSN 0099 caseback????
  13. This is a useful old quote from the timezone, posted by Justin Time on December 12, 1997 "Tritium paint on watches is a mixture of tritium and phospor. Tritium is naturally radio-active and needs no external source of light or charge to work. Tritium does not glow. As it decays, tritium emits beta radiation, which is a bunch of excited electrons that in turns excite the electron in the phosphor atoms making them emit photons, or light, as they return to their ground (non-excited) state: the phosphor GLOWS. Phosphor can also be excited by UV light from the sun or other light sources. Thus, the tritium paint relies on tritium radioactivity to make the phosphor glow in the dark, not any charge from external light source. Tritium, has a half life of 12.3 years, a half-life is simply the time it takes HALF of the tritium to decay. So, as long as you have enough tritium in your paint, the watch will glow in the dark for years, not hours or days, without any need of charging. If your watch stops glowing after an hour in the dark, it means that the glow came from the light exciting the phospor atoms, not from the tritium. In other word, most of the tritium in your watch is GONE! This is quite possible even with a fresh coat of tritium paint if that paint has been sitting around in the watchmaker's shop or supplier's shelf for years. The 12.3 years of half-life starts from the second the tritium is born (i.e. freshly produced), not from the time the paint is applied to your watch." http://www.timezone.com/library/archives/a...704126660375902
  14. I don't even want to think about it, but what if... both sites went down and stayed down for a period? or forever??? HOW are we going to SURVIVE? I'm so ADDICTED to this forum and my communication with the community...
  15. Hi there, I'm trying to understand if the 6154 & 6152 cases are the same. Of course, I mean the 6152 without the CG's. I was looking at DSN's 6152 and 6154 models and they look the same to me. Are they really? Shouldn't 6154 be smaller than the 6152? Does anybody have any dimensions? Thanks in advance for your replies. Athan
  16. I love your 3646 cause the aging looks realistic. Ι'm not into museum items, with unjustifiable heavy vintaging - most of the times these watches don't look real to my eyes. There is a distinct line between an evidently aged 70 year old wrist watch and a WWII Hollywood production. Again wear it well my friend
  17. Nice pieces, love them tenderly. How can you tell a new MBK from an old one? I have bought an MBK 1665 GW two years ago from Reg. Would that be a new one or a classic? Cheers, Athan
  18. If all reps were perfect none of us would have ever existed nor our forums. Positive thinking, creativity, joy of communication, passion for perfection, are some of the qualities that transformed the ugly early world of cheap fake watches to a mature world of craftsmanship and acknowledgment. If everything was perfect there wouldn't be any space for man
  19. Very informative topic, thanks paralizer. Is it easy to make the pigment? Standard portions specified by Tritec? Cheers, Athan
  20. Thank you Helmut, Does anybody know where to get a decent Brevettato open case back? Athan
  21. Great pieces of information, thank you so much Clint Eastwood!
  22. Thank you Clint Eastwood, I appreciated your reply, Man, I've always admired your work! I understand your point there. I'm interested in a 3646 MM with Brevettato open case back. Do I order a case a such from Silix, or elsewhere, or do I have to do some interbreeding? I can't find it on their site. Also, what about the dial? Is there a "must" MM dial out there? (Like the ones that FGD makes for the Pre-A models). Many thanks in advance, Athan
  23. Hi to all, Vintage Panerai experts, I need your help! I'm thinking of a vintage Panerai project, based on 3646 Marina Militare, with Brevettato open case back. At a later stage I would consider a Cortebert movement, but not for now. I'm already in contact with VDB for the budgeting of the mods, but I need a good starting point. Which case/dial should I go for? Is DSN's MM a good start? http://s40.photobucket.com/albums/e230/wat...INA%20MILITARE/ DSN's dial looks inaccurate, with wrong lettering and too thick numbers. I like the shape of his case and the overall looks of the watch - without knowing if it's even close to the real thing though. So far, I haven't seen anything else matching my request from the cartel dealers, but maybe I'm wrong. Today I came across to this Madoka-biz.com! Never heard of them before: http://album.madoka-biz.com/Watches/Panera...3646%20vintage/ http://album.madoka-biz.com/Watches/Panera...ine%20militare/ Does anybody know them? Any other suggestions? Many thanks in advance, Athan
