  1. Many thanks J for taking the time to reply, Of course it has all these flaws my friend;-) Honestly I find the datewheel the most unacceptable flaw of the constantly visible ones and the disgusting movement decoration the worst of the b-side. But despite them all it's still a very nice watch for $190 shipped... Has anyone actually bought this watch from King? how does this "correct" RESERVE look like in real life?
  2. I'm considering an IWC Portuguese Automatic Power Reserve for a friend. I was looking around the cartel, Puretime and King and it seems that only King has one with the correct RESERVE on the rotor, but maybe I'm wrong cause I don't know much on IWC reps. Any comments on King's (IWC-108) Auto Power Reserve? Does anyone have any experience with this watch? Also, I presume that since we're talking about a cheap A21j there is not any correct datewheel mod available? Many thanks for taking the time to come back with your comments.
  3. If you want a decent 1665 you should immediately swap the dial with an "accurate" one. At least the MBW GW has a more accurate dial and Chris might be able to get you a Singer MBW GW. In any case we need to get our "hands" on one, to see how it acts in real life. We must investigate the rehaut, MBW + Puretime interbreeding options, fitting of gen parts, casebacks, etc. I'm really short this period and I can't afford to get one my self. The fisrt to to lay his hands on one please post some detailed pictures. Many thanks, Athan
  4. Many thanks opcrown for this community service. Just sent an EM for a PVD recessed 0,55 -0,05mm, M1.2, for my DSN 009 PVD. Would it be fine with DSN's 009? ;-) Cheers, Athan
  5. Also the great white dial is wrong with font types and fonts alignment being way off.
  6. Check this case out. Gold inlay into steel!! Mini fiddy case at its best! I'm not into this contemporary dial and hands though. I would expect something "mythical" as well. I found the price of $5985.00 USD plus shipping, too high for what it is: a mini fiddy style watch, with Swiss 2824-2 movement, an amazingly engraved case with strong character and a rather dull dial and hands.
  7. No it is not a scratch, it's the transparent tape that hold the overlay to that piece of brown paper! BTW what is the best way to mount the overlay on the datewheel?
  8. Correct flat top 3 datewheels for ETAs is a must have add-on. I believe Chris can help us to the right direction.
  9. Just got this from Chris. Any comments?
  10. Hi guys Some time ago, Zigmeister tested one of his Rolex 1520 movt - which has the same physical dimensions as the 1570 - in my MBW 1665 and it fitted well. The following pictures are from The Meister's desk. About the Yuki and NDT 1665 cases, I wanted to ask if they have the correct crown guard shape and if their lug holes are the correct 2mm? Cheers, Athan
  11. Excuse me guys but what is a CWP bezel? who sells them?
  12. That's great news BT :-) what about the lugholes?
  13. BT, many many thanks for your encouragement! Would you consider King's "ROLEX-EXPLORER 1-ROLEX-159" as a viable base? It's from her old www.kingwatches.net site Tomorrow she'll send me the 159 dial diameter to see if the gen dial would fit. Cheers, Athan
  14. Just got it!!! How do you like it? Which case would you advise me to get? Are there any decent cases (rehaut, size) available? Many thanks, Athan
  15. This is good news. Maybe this can be the basis of a nice vintage project. Especially if a gen / OEM crystal and a gen caseback can be fitted. Hi to all, Athan
  16. Maybe you are right. In the B&R site they just say beed blasted "vacuum carbon". But check this post by Doc: Also, in watchuwant they say "Case: PVD/DLC" http://www.watchuwant.com/watches/bell-ross-44mm-br02-1000m-pvd-divers-instrument
  17. Hi to All, I'm considering buying a high grade BR02 numerical PVD watch from our trusted sourse. With swiss movement not asian. Trusted sourse says that the date wheel is the same and waterproofing is OK. I like PVD watches very much. If I was to buy the gen I would definitelly go for the black DLC. So, since the gen is DLC and not PVD I have some doubts about picking the PVD rep. Has anyone actually compared side by side a rep PVD to the gen DLC? http://www.jpc8118.com/bo0021001-instrument-br02-ssru-black-numstk-asia-28242-p-5334.html http://www.jpc8118.com/bo0021011-instrument-br02-pvdru-black-numstk-asia-28242-p-5410.html Is the rep PVD way off? Should I rather go for the Brushed Stainless case for the sake of accuracy? I would very much appreciate some expert advice. Many thanks for your replies. Athan
  18. Hi T Would you kindly check if they would also fit molnija 3601 / 3602 cause this may affect my order (and maybe others' too) Cheers
  19. I've sent them a kind reminder but they didn't bother to reply. Not even for a strap request. They obviously have a very personal idea of moneymaking...
