Began modifying my 1665, any suggestion ?

Hi,

1665 is an old passion , so I started modifying mine one:

- Base MBW 1665 from Watchmeister

- Case-set bought by a forum member

- Dial vintageing by me

- Riveted bracelet ( to be changed, it doesn't accept 2 mm springs)

- Original insert

Just finished, took a few shots with phone, any idea on what is wrong and what sohould be made is very welcome

Hi thl,

You did a great job on the dial and hands. Are you sure that's an original insert? Appears to be a gen lumi to me.

The next step would be trimming the crown guards, drilling the lug holes to accept gen spring bars, possibly installing a gen crown, and the addition of a clarks T-39 superdome.

JoJo is correct- gen insert w/ luminous, not the old tritium. Also correct on the rest of the mods! Good luck.

Thanks folks, you're right, insert is gen but not its original, so it's time to change crystal and drill here and there.

I'll let you know.
