Need Help: 250 engine swap

Ok, My good friend watchlover just informed me that my 250 project may need to be reviewed because the dial I currently have will not fit the 7753 movement. What would you experts here need to know to verify that. The layout seems correct, and the case is the "proper" case for the Tri-Compax with the date pusher at 10:00. Can you chime in? I have a source for the gen dial but it is expensive and the seller has not forwarded pics yet for me to decide....I cannot tell much difference between the gen pics I have seen and the dial I have so I humbly request your assistance....

I'll post pics if that will help.

I actually believe that some of them fit but not all. Can't remember which one you have to come up with....

Experts can weigh in..

I have been looking for a dial, hands and case for the 250 or the 196 to fit a 7753 as well without much luck so far. I have many sets of hands that don't fit and a number of dials. All have the date window in the wrong place as they were designed to fit the A7750 and not the genuine eta 7753. The hands have different diameter post holes and so I can only get ones to fit the hour and minute large hands. The case was not too much of a problem, where did you get yours? I needed to modify mine for the 10 o'clock pusher. I filed the movement surrounding spacer and added a small piece of tube to fit over the existing pusher which was too short. My research leads me to believe that most of the "swiss" 250's and 196's must atually be clone movements as most of the parts I have found will only fit the "copy" movements.

If you manage to find the rest please post it here!

Complete watch was purchased here. I have purchased the 7753 and am in negotiation for another dial. Seems the hands may be my last "requirement". After that, hopefully off to The Zigmeister for the work. I am not qualified to do this work, nor would I want to. I have a donor watch that has the movement, and I will probably want to swap movements to have two complete watches when done.

About the best I could do getting to match the angle of your photo.

I aligned the center of the hands then dialed in the chronos as best I could. As you can see, your DW is much closed to center then the 7753.

I would be interested in the Gen. Dial you have available if you can not use it.

PM me.

Thanks.
