gasdoc
The crown on my slevin is nice and tight in the winding position, but when pulled out to set the time it is very wobbly and feels cheap like its about to fall off. Is there a fix for this? Anyone done a gen crown install? Suggestions? Otherwise the rep in phenomenal. Thanks
ubiquitous
I'll need to check mine when I get home, but I don't recall the crown feeling wobbly on mine when pulled out to the date or time setting position.
RWG Technical
There is no fix short of replacing the crown. I have seen this on a number of these, basically the sprung part of the crown that the stem is screwed into, is weak, hence the wobble... Never tried to source or install a gen one, so no idea if it can be done. As long as you can set the time and date, it should be fine, winding it places more stress on the sprung part, so you may want to limit winding... ubiquitous
I checked mine last night- Crown feels pretty solid at the day/date setting, but at the time setting position it does feel a little wobbly.
lanikai
I have a coupe of crowns with this issue.. so I'll take extra care in winding or just wind it enough to get it started thanks ZM AC L
