nick1972
After searching and lurking a long time on this forum! I'm ready to build my own super franken. I wanted a 1680 Red submariner, The project started with a nice yuki case set from another rwg member, I put the case in a box full of coins and shaked the hell with it. After that I needed a dial. de case has a red sub serial so my next task was to find a genuine not so expensive red dial. I found that dial but I have to do some work on it, repainting the indices takes alot of work, i'm like halfway So next I bought a gen 702 crown and tube, the tube wont fit the yuki case so I have to retap it, again thx to this forum for the right answers. Things I have to do is, finding a decent 1570 movement and a T39 Superdome, No cyclops for me on this baby
freddy333
I think you are making a mistake fitting your watch with a non-cyclops crystal. If the watch was 100% gen, then customizing is not a problem. But, with a franken, it is always best to keep things as close to oem as possible. Deviations from oem tend to increase suspicion & elicit closer inspections.
rag9fx
if you want to go for a non cyclops go for a t19
Tribal
You bought a 702 Tube and Crown?!? That's sound so easy. A lot of us are searching them long time. Sounds like a great project keep us updated
nick1972
Yes a T 19 is also possible but look at this red sub with superdome, I love it.. I bought the 702 crown new from justasgood and I had a few 702 tubes so it was easy

dieselpower
All excellent stuff and good luck with the project but I don't get one thing. If you like the look of the red letters and you like the superdome why didn't you build a 1665 DRSD? Oh well, each to his own.
