How are they attached, are they slightly tapered and pressed/driven in or is one end threaded? Thogaa, looks much better now, after you got done torturing it the first time it looked a bit scary! You didn't really put it in a dryer with rocks, did you? I can't imagine that - I got into enough trouble curing some exhaust coating on a pair of exhaust manifolds in our oven once upon a time and can't imagine what would happen to me if I ever tried that procedure!
