hp_v6
Hi as the title says, does anyone know where to get a crown & stem? I have a BP that i cant screw in the crown anymore. Thanks simzger Been there, done that. I used a little trick I picked up from another forum that helped tremendously. Remove the stem altogether, and pinch the tube on the outside of the case LIGHTLY with some needle nose pliers. Work the pliers around the tube with an even pressure, and periodically try re-inserting the stem and screwing down the crown. What you're trying to achieve is a "smaller" tube. Yes it's a bit of a hack, but it took my stripped crown/stem in to something that ended up being at least twice as good as the original. Definitely worth a shot! Shogun
I have the same problem. Is it difficult to remove the stem and crown?
offshore
Photos, and movement ID would help. Please realise that not each watch comes with the same movement, and some of us don't know the specific watch. So if we have photos, or know the movement you are referring to, we can then try to assist. If we are discusing crown tubes, a photo is really the only way to know. Flashman
Did it to mine and it works a treat, only needed very slight pressure for the tube to grip again. Awesome!
