panerai153
This auction has 6 days left, so who knows how high this one is going to go. It's pretty "used up" however. It's very hard to tell how stable that bakelite still is, with one crack already, any sort of bump could make it break further.I believe that was the knock about these originally, and why Rolex went to Metal inserts as the bakelite was too fragile, and becomes brittle with age and exposure to sunlight. The bezel itself is really worn, look at the sides, the ridges are almost worn smooth. These old bakelite inserts are probably as scarce as hens teeth, so no telling what this one will bring. kent2
the insert is not aged but made to look old. it is not genuine. the dots are a dead give away. http://www.yukiwatch.com/catalog/item/6784664/6696723.htm some one is deliberating scamming. here is a real one http://www.sheartime.com/images/fullsize/st009/st009_1.jpg

panerai153
You Rolex Eagle Eyes are absolutely correct. Easy to see when you look at the genuine next to the replica. Yuki is pretty proud of their replicas, 380.00 USD for that one. OF course, a genuine in NOS condition...... No telling how much it would bring.
