Prep and treat a new bracelet?

Is there a "best method" to prep and treat a brand new bracelet (rolex presidential)? I've read various things here:

(1) spray with WD40, then clean

(2) use a dry lube

(3) use some kind of wax, like car wax

I have searched but haven't found a recommended tutorial or a thread.

WD is a dust magnet,I use "All in one'.. used also on sewing machine parts.

A cape cod cloth ,...even on the brushed surface is good.. it'll shine up the brushed surface without removing the finish.. use a tooth brush to remove the residue for the cracks etc.

the cape cod contains petroleum by products that could be an irritant to your skin, so be sure to thoroughly clean all the polish from the bracelet and case back if you use it there.

Denz,.. you will not strip the brushed finish.. it will make them more brilliant but will not remove the finish.. like your PO bracelet.. you can use a silver polishing cloth and finish with a rag.. no worries it will not harm the finish..

just use a tooth brush to get the residue out of the links and cracks..

to refinish the brushed finish on the Doxa I used a "Watchboys" fiberglass bristle pen..

you can find it on ebay.. I think Ofrei has them too..I would expect Cousins to also carry them.. it is the best I've found for refinishing the brushed areas..smooth even one way strokes are the key.

hey man for cleaning and finishing what do i need, for polishd an brushed parts..

silver cloth. for polishd and brushed parts right? no problem?

and mayby a brushing pad, like them on ebay for light scratches on brushed parts?

anything else needed for beginning

I treated all my oyster bracelets like this and been extremely pleased.

I just started using dry lube meant for bicycle chains and it works very well. No dust magnet problems that came with using WD40

The old toothbrush and toothpaste and brush dem SS watch and band like your teeth works for me everytime!
