  3. Its been a long time since I bought a rep.. A longgggggg time so I'm not even sure who's still good I've recently given my dad one of my Omega PO's but the band is too short and I've lost the spare links (ooops).. so I'm hoping to find a UK dealer who might carry some parts or even have a D.O.A. PO they want to part with. So the question is are there any trusted UK dealers left? and if so who comes recommended? Thanks guys
  4. Hi Guys, Its been a LONG time since I've posted on here! I recently gave my Dad one of my PO's but annoyingly his wrists are bigger and I can't find what I did with the spare links, it seems pointless me ordering from CN/HK so does anybody know of UK dealers who carry 'spares' or who might even have a broken PO in stock they could sell for parts. Thanks in advance
  5. Hopefully it will actually show up
  6. I just emailed Hamilton and a guy there got back to me and said he'd send me a free box! :|
  7. I've just bought a Hamilton Jazzmaster but the box is a bit tatty, does anyone know where I can get a 'replacement', I've not seen any reps about? Cheers guys!
  8. I went to take a look at his new premises today, at the moment there are two of them and they have leased some serviced offices, they have a service center contract for one large watch manufacturer and they are bidding for some more work. They have been doing loads of watch and clock services for local people already, there was an amazing grandfather clock there for a tear and and service plus what must be the smallest mechanical watch movement I've ever seen :| They are both far to busy at the moment to even talk about working on replicas but he says once he's sorted out a comptuer and internet access at the office he'll be on here.
  9. Thanks for the PM's He has been a watch maker for many years and he currently works for a well known international watch company, but his intentions are for him and another local watch maker to setup on their own as it is now an extreme niche market and there are no other local watch makers worth their salt (none that I have found anyway). I should be going to see their new premises on the weekend so I'll come back with more info!
  10. This stranger is back again! Just thought I'd tell you guys about a good friend of mine who does all of my complex watch work for me; he is going solo and opening his own fulltime workshop with another friend of his! He's always been very open to my replicas and facinated by the quality! I was hoping to introduce him to the forum so he can potentially offer similar services of some of our american members to us members here in the UK. If anyone would like more info when the workshop opens please PM me your email address and I'll be sure to drop you all of the relevant details and I'm sure I can get him to register on the forum I hope this post doesnt infringe on any rules! Cheers!
  11. I've got girlie wrists but i still wear divers watches lol
  12. I bought a second hand TW Sub from a work collegue and then I was obsessed.
  13. iceburg that is a fantastic looking garden/deck!
  14. The snow is melting here now booo!
  15. Quick send your watches to the platce that the user with 3 posts has recommended
  16. I always say "nice replica".. I am always facinated by watches that emmulate the classic Rolex sports design, not replicas basically other brands that make their watches look like a Submariner. A friend of mine was wearing a cheapy £10 watch that he bought at a festival which was in essence a blue plastic submariner. It was kind of cool!
  17. How much bandwidth does rwgforum.com use in a month?
  18. Hi Demsey, hope life is treating you well! Glad you sorted the SD! Pain in the [censored] when the ETA's do that, I've had a few do it on me even when I've used the correct size screw driver. I'm terrible with hobbies, the only one I never give up on is cars! I've got a fully fitted workshop now (ramps, compressor, press etc.) and I spend my free time there now. Plus I've always been a bit to heavy handed for watches Oh and Its Berkshire
  19. I need a dial for my 5008 with legs for an ETA28##
  20. I've not really been an active member of the forum over the last 2-3 years and I've been wearing the same old Airking day in, day out! I was tidying up my study and I pulled the box which has all of my tools and parts so I started going through it.. There are so many un-finished projects I started and gave up on :| I found: A Submariner 5508 I was building, correct small (smooth) sub-case, flat sided bezel, plastic crystal, fat crown, polished back etc.. but for some reason I never finished it.. Half finished Millgauss. Most of the parts to build a vintage Explorer II (1655 orange hand). A gorgeous Daytona 6263 case with 18mm strap and slide ways clasp plus two dials. God knows where the movement went! An Omega planet ocean with a fudged stem. And LOADSSSS of parts I forgot I had (cases, crystals, movements etc. etc.).. So I'm fixing the Omega and I think I might try and find a movement for the 6263
  21. 10 dollar market watch.. Not worth a sniff.. Also thats not an ETA movement its just a crappy 2 dollar asian auto a sun-dial would keep better time on a cloudy day
  22. Much appreciated! All of my normal suppliers tell me they are out of stock and its discontinued
