geneticlone
I have a couple used ceramic watches, with metal and gold case backs. I was wondering if you could give me some good tips on how to thoroughly clean these fellas up. What to do and what not to do would be helpful. My wife has a ring cleaner that she leaves her ring in for 2 hours, is that safe to use?
lanikai
If the ceramic is a matte finish.. use just mild soap and water with a toothbrush..no polymers..,... wax of any kind.. I would just use the jewelry cleaner with a tooth brush to scrub the cracks if the ceramic is of the polished variety.
Bike Mike
Soft toothbrush, soap and water is what I use on my reps and gens when they get dirty from daily wearing.
ubiquitous
On my wife's J12 rep, I use a toothbrush and hot water to steam the surface.

geneticlone
Hmm , ok so basically I have to really watch what I am using. I could do steam, warm water, soap, and toothbrush on the ceramic parts. How about the glass/face, and the metal cover?
Bike Mike
I hear toothpaste does a nice job.. seriously I heard that as well, as it also gives you watch a nice minty fresh smell too. Hmm , ok so basically I have to really watch what I am using. I could do steam, warm water, soap, and toothbrush on the ceramic parts. How about the glass/face, and the metal cover? No worries, you are not going to hurt the, with a nylon bristles of a brush. Ceramic is one of the hardest materials known to man. I use liquid hand soap at my sink without issue. Just dont submerge your watch in the water.
