jdkno
USPS shows it's Express mail as being overnight to most places. Once USPS takes possesion of an EMS package do they treat it as Express mail still or just regular mail?

jmb
In my experience it's just treated as regular mail although in the past some people have said they have had packages delivered on Sundays. That may have been true before the last budget crunch. My last package has an Global Express Mail sticker on it (put there by Customs?) dated Dec 31 that says "Deliver by 3:00 PK Today" and I received it 5 days later... Shundi
My EMS packages generally are delivered as Priority by my local PO...
9postguy
Absolutely so in my case on a delivery yesterday. I just received an EMS package that had a USPS "global express mail" label added to it, clearly indicating JFK as the origination point in the USPS system. jdkno
Well I guess they must consider them expess here in the CONUS. My package was outbound from customs yesterday morning an delivered toy office today. From San Fransisco to Louisiana overnight has to be express.
