The bracelet was in now way mistreated .
JoJo35
It doesn't surprise me, the quality of reps is so hit-or-miss. IMO, if you really like the piece you're better off just to ante up and buy the real thing
Guest techlogik
Ouch, sorry. Who did you get it from? Have a welder handy?
sharkman
I got it from a trusted dealer . No welder but I'm sure he will come through with a solution .
r@f
what kind of welder is the proper ? Regards raffo
jmb
These may be silver-soldered, but I'm not sure as I've never tried to silver-solder anything made from stainless steel. I will offer that it's possible JB-Weld might do the trick if the two pieces are cleaned/prepared and clamped tightly for the 24 hours it takes to cure. I have had JB-Weld make some unbelievable bonds! That's a last-ditch thing but at that point you have nothing to loose.

I have had JB-Weld make some unbelievable bonds! That's a last-ditch thing but at that point you have nothing to loose. Exact same thing happened to my GMTII Ceramic clasp. I tried JB weld but it did not hold up. There is not enough surface area for JB to bold. I gave up and ordered replacement clasp from Andrew.. sharkman
Yeah , there is not enough area to weld . I'm waiting for Josh to get back to me . Hopefully I can just a replacement bracelet sent.
Jack1024
Not to worry, Josh will take care of you. You will have a new bracelet in the mail.

Guest techlogik
If Josh, he has sent me 2 new bracelets for ones that went bad on watches...he will come through. Put it on Nato for now. It might take 4 weeks to get the new bracelet. Or try the epoxy/metal bond stuff for fun.
sharkman
Any idea where I'd pick up a NATO in Europe ?
plaifender
@Lani and Jojo.. haha.. yea me too.. whenever my rep fails me.. i just go and buy the gen.. It's the most practical thing to do.. especially when it comes to the A Lange & Sohne and AP limited edition models..
