Bracelet failure on DSSD after 8 days

These may be silver-soldered, but I'm not sure as I've never tried to silver-solder anything made from stainless steel. I will offer that it's possible JB-Weld might do the trick if the two pieces are cleaned/prepared and clamped tightly for the 24 hours it takes to cure. I have had JB-Weld make some unbelievable bonds! That's a last-ditch thing but at that point you have nothing to loose.

Exact same thing happened to my GMTII Ceramic clasp. I tried JB weld but it did not hold up. There is not enough surface area for JB to bold. I gave up and ordered replacement clasp from Andrew..

It doesn't surprise me, the quality of reps is so hit-or-miss. IMO, if you really like the piece you're better off just to ante up and buy the real thing :)

If Josh, he has sent me 2 new bracelets for ones that went bad on watches...he will come through. Put it on Nato for now. It might take 4 weeks to get the new bracelet. Or try the epoxy/metal bond stuff for fun.
