Buying new dial for GEN

Hi Everyone,

I know that with an Omega watch if you bought an orange numeral PO and take it to an AD they can order you a Black numeral dial.

Is this possible with Tag Heuer? Specifically the carrera re-issues with a date on them as seen here: http://www.watches.co.uk/watch.php?wid=8393S

So just to clarify, take this white dial watch to an AD and ask them to put the black dial on it?

Is it possible and how much would it cost? or should i keep my eyes open for the dial on the bay/ any other websites??

There is a seller on the Bay called watchco-europe that always seems to have a lot of gen TAG parts, including cases and dials. I have been looking for a case set for a project and his auctions seem to come up a lot on searches.

Thanks tomhorn, but that would be my plan B if you cant buy the parts direct, does anyone know??

I would think it would be possible, but unless you are doing the swap yourself I would bet that it would be cheaper to sell the watch you have now and buy the one that you want. Chances are the AD will tell you they need to send it to the service center and do a full service while changing the dial. That's pretty much my experience with taking anything at all to an AD.
