Things don't look quite right here. Apart from the movement, which does look suspiciously small, the hands are wrong for this model.

The crown looks too big, and the bezel edge is one I have not seen before on this model.

But...... if you take it at face value as a franken, and get it for a song, it would be worth a punt.

yes the hands also look a bit too new, compared with the rest.

But... buying it and putting a james bond dial in it would make a nice looking (totally incorrect) watch imo

BTW, the date mag is wrong and the case back is wrong. It is not the colour of the hands that's wrong, it is the shape. The bezel insert looks incorrect for this mosel as well, it's missing the pearl.

Unless you are in love. I would treat this as a "bitsa".

Hmmmm :g:

As 'a watch', as mentioned, quite wearable, but I'd be very surprised if any of the parts are genuine. The case and bezel just look totally wrong, the insert doesn't have a pearl, and the hands are not the hands from the 1655, but something similar. Depending on the cost, I think I'd as soon buy cheap watches for parts, and custom-build something to my own specs, rather than buying someone else's custom ;)

Of course, as 'a watch', nothing wrong with, at least it doesn't say 'Rolex' on the dial, so it's not a fake Rolex :whistling::good:

The movement is definitely off. Here's a couple of pics of mine:

Also, here's a pic of a caseback (mind you it's a rep, but a pretty good one IMO)
