omgiv
I was wondering if anyone know how the back side of the case should be finished on a 5513. I am particularly interested in the back of the crown guards. Are just the tips of the guards polished or is the whole part polished. I have looked at genuine pictures and I have seen it both ways. I looked on my gen SD and it is polished up until the guard meets the case. Thanks in advance!!!!
flex
Here is a pic of my 5513 (i recently sold). Both sides are polished. The gen has very nice finish. on my franken, i spent a great deal of time to replicate that look (I don't have the watch now as it was given to my cousin as a bday present). freddy333
With a vintage tool watch like the 5513, it is highly unlikely that the case has never been polished & the type, style & extent of the polishing is dependent on who did the work. For this reason, either is acceptable. It is mostly up to you & whether you want an authentic looking vintage watch or a 'new'
omgiv
Thanks guys for the pictures and info. I went ahead and polished both sides of the guard outside of the case proper. Thanks again!!!
