Yuki Case Question and NDT Band vs. Yuki Band

Hi!

Actually I wanted to build my Yuki 1680 dial in a MBW case, but now I am not so shure if I am able to drimm the dial, drill the lugholes and shape the CGs.

So here is my question: do I have to shape and drill on the Yuki 1680 case or is this quite right??

Coming to my next question, I actually wanted to spend money on the bracelet not on the case, so if I go with the Yuki case I have to make some cuts on the bracelet and go with an aftermarket bracelet.

Which one is better for a vintage 1680 red, the Yuki or the NDT rivet one??

They seem quite simular to me, but you guys can spot like 1.000 different mistakes on them both.

And the next one: Is there a place, besides the bay, to get used vintage gen bracelets?? would prefer a folded 20mm one...

And the last one: If you would go with the Yuki case, which movement would you use (beside a 1570 ;-) )

Do You think a ETA 2824 would be fine??

It appears (at least to me) from the photos that the NDT bracelet has the thick links. The Yuki bracelet has been discussed thoroughly on the Rolex board here, and is far superior, although it still has its faults.

Here's an example of a gen USA rivet that I'm selling:

Keep in mind that gen 7206 rivets that are in good condition usually go for at least $1000 USD. USA rivets are less expensive, and vary in costs depending on condition, age, etc.

Folded 9315's can be found on the bay. Stretched out beat up ones may be found for as low as 3 to 4 hundred USD

I did read the discussions about the Yuki rivet, but it wasn´t compared to the NDT one ( right ?)

But would a rivet band be correct on a 1680?

Doing some research I figured out that the Yuki case only needs to be vintagied, but will not take an ETA because of the stemp highness.

Gen, yet incorrect for a 1680. The correct folded bracelet is a 9315 with flip-lock and dive extension

hi there if you are going to buy a yukicase wait a while yukiwatch is developing an adaptor so that the yukicase can have fitted a eta 28xx and eta 27xx, im in regular contact with them ,yuki hopes to have ready this adaptor in a month or so

this adaptor he told me can be removed later if you ever want to upgrade to gen movement

dont worry about yuki cases they are made to gen specs i prefer to buy all parts from yuki to ensure a good fit!

i have fitted other braclets onto a yuki case no problems!

Doing some research I figured out that the Yuki case only needs to be vintagied, but will not take an ETA because of the stemp highness.

I have adapters to fit an ETA in a gen 3035 case. They are made for 3035 case, but stem alignment is the same. The adapter needs a bit of modification to fit in the yuki case. but depending on what case you get, it may not need modification. I've had one yuki case where it dropped in. You can fit a 2824-2, 2836-2, 2846 in the yuki case with my adapter. PM if interested.

No, just add a bit of enhanced patination so you are not walking around wearing a vintage watch that looks factory fresh.

Timezone or vintage rolex forum (vrf). But I would not rule out ebay (as long as you always remember to buy (check out) the seller before you buy the watch).

Yuki's, like most aftermarket cases, are made to fit gen movements. If you want to install an ETA (I would try to find a 'slow beat' ETA 2846 since the beat is closer to that of the Rolex 157x), you will need 1 of Stilty's spacers.
