OSRep
Hey fellow RWG'ers! Hope youre all well as always. Anyway this ones going to be quick and sweet (FOR NOW) - so you can breath a sigh of relief hehe. Well I recently bought a DSN 091....but my best friend is now enjoying it. I was impressed with DSN's quality and ordered his 086 (again, I just LOVE those "anthracite" dials). Anyway, I received it a few days ago, and was balled over by the quality once again. UNFORTUNATELY when I went to wind the watch the rotor started spinning like crazy - something I had never experienced with any watch before!! And ofcourse it definitely not right. So I did a bit of research and found out its probably the "reverse wheel click spring" is probably defective (according to Zig). Which means you should not wind the watch and it needs a service - which sucks. But anyway shot DSN an email and he said he will replace it straight away.......So its currently on its way back. However I took a few pics of the watch anyway (its the first thing I do) A few things to note about this model: 1) The DSN version is basically "wrong" out of the box. The genuine 086 is a brushed SS case / bezel / CG etc. The DSN is in Titanium (and I have NO idea why)......But I still LOVE IT and its a stunning piece. 2) The dial is EXTREMELY well replicated as far as I can tell. It changes colour in different light - from dark slate grey, to silverish, to champagne....very sexy. The Lume / markers and print are all clean and well printed. Just one marker is a little short (will address when I get the replacement) 3) The hands are wrong too. The ones on the DSN are smooth SS. The gen seems to use a "frosted" finish on the hands. 4) The caseback is wrong (not only because its Titanium) but also has the "OP" arrow logo....... Anyway this thread was just to say that apart from the above "flaws" DSN's 086 is a great looking watch, very well made and oozes quality......And the pics below will hopefully convey this. Now I just have to wait for my replacement/exchange  Enjoy. Best wishes. Comments welcome!
Drulee
Ask DSN for a set of 091 hands - those are the ones that came with my DSN 086 and are much closer to what the 086D gen has. I'm in the process of transplanting the innards of my DSN 086 to a brushed case, to see how I like it
PeteM
I am really starting to get into those dials....I love the contrasts from differing light sources/angles etc. Very nice

Hahaha yeah he is.....he has always liked PAM's so I was expecting him to ask me for it! DSN has been extremely helpful - hes a great dealer. Yeah I find most PAM's a little bit plain - so I prefer the funky ones (complications / different colour / textured dials etc etc).....Im sure you will be growing your PAM collection slowly! As we said, O. This hobby takes a load of patience. But the waiting is part of the fun, isn't it? I love the watch. Looking forward to some wristies. Val. I know Val!! Well at least theres always a package arriving frequently haha. Thanks buddy, the watch is great.....the dial visually is very close to the gen.........Ill take wristies when I get the replacement!! *fingers crossed*.
