Ronin
So, I am a new excited IWC 3717 (rep) owner. The first thing I did was jump over to iwc.com to make some comparisons. Forgive me it this is old news, or crazy talk... Check this out. These images are from IWC's web site. Is it me or are the fonts slightly different between the Rose Gold, and Stainless. Thicker/Thinner. Look at the 11's and IWC text. Thoughts? Camera angle? Or is this good news for rep owners as these slight variances don't carry as much weight. HauteHippie
You'll see pics of the SS version with the thicker fonts also. This has been debated in the past, and was originally thought to be a flaw on the rep (i.e. that the rep dial font was too fat). But it is not the case. Ronin
Thanks Chief, I figured. I am new to the IWC scene and loving it. BTW: Next AR run, I am sending you the crystal.
ubiquitous
I believe my gen dial has the thick fonts: Chief's AR is an absolute must for this one... I think you'll really like this one, P. It's a great watch! definitely one of my all time faves!
Watchmeister
I have the same set-up as Ubi and long before I got the dial I had stopped at a couple of ADs and seen a number of the gens. I have never seen one with the thinner font. So I assume it is either an illustration rather than accurate picture of the final production on their web site or they changed the dial to look more like the Big Pilot subsequent to its original issuance.
