redwatch
Quick question for the community. I got a new crown for my PAM 112h and I am wondering if there is a special trick for removing the stem from my current crown? Also wondering where I can get a few spares. I know ofrei has them, but I am wondering if there is a better source? Or maybe a member or two has some I could buy? Thanks!
NoobyPanFan
If it is stuck or seems tight... Heat it up with a blow dryer quick and hold one end with a needle-nose pliers and twist. Should come right off.

Drulee
I find the easiest way to remove the crowns from stems is to use a pin vice, insert the stem in, tighten, slowly turn the crown CCW (too quick or too hard and you may break the stem -or so I hear). I have been able to remove every crown that I've tried, whether loctite has been applied or something stronger.
redwatch
Since I don't have a pin vise (yet), I went for the heat gun option. Worked like a champ!
