Glashutte Senator Sixties - gen or good quality rep straps available?

Recommended Posts

So I got my Glashuttes through the other week and I love them :)

However, the standard cheap rep straps do them no justice at all...

Are gen straps available? I dread to think how much they'll be if they are :(

Or are there any good alternatives?

Any help gratefully received! :)

There are several highly talented strap makers on this board. I'm sure one or more of them could help you in any material you like.

I bought a glossy croc out of ebay.

The rep is good looking but not close to the gen. I guess you can try to get one of the strap makers get one that looks like the gen but it will be hard to rep the buckle.

Awesome, thank you very much for the pictures :) I was wondering what the buckle was supposed to look like!

As you say, getting a match with the gen will prove difficult so I will have to check out all the strap makers to see what they offer. I fear a decent one will cost more than the watches!

Ok, I've been looking around and struggling to find anything off the shelf still...

But I have found that apparently Shell Cordovan leather is excellent, and is found on Nomos (Glashutte??) watches:

Such a strap looks more obtainable than a gen Senator Sixties strap, as Glashutte seems a bit high end to be flogging stuff online to random people! I'm not sure I could blag it in a shop either... lol

I do like the original strap though:

but the alternative is also nice!

Either way, I think a custom strap from a chap on here will be much cheaper! lol
