creation88
What's the best (easiest, safest) way to remove the black paint from an MBW 1665 case-back? Any advice would be welcome... Thanks
brendo22
I'm pretty sure I remember seeing that you just use some nail polish remover to remove the paint? Someone should chime in to confirm but that's what I would suggest. I don't know if you need to use a brush of some kind to really get in there, I know I've used a needle to scrape out polishing compound when I've polished a caseback and the excess got into the printing. My 2 cents, good luck!
Ronin
Go to your local autoparts store and purchase a can of paint stripper. Spray on, wipe off, toothpick in the tight spots.

panerai153
Make sure when you use the paint stripper or acetone (works equally as well) you do this in a well ventilated place. I have remooved the paint on a coupls of 1665's and I almost killed myself trying to do it in my shop. I moved outside to a picnic table and it was much better. Save those brain cells!! We need all we have left.
