I heard these are the most accurate replicas (OOB) you can get. I got the Swiss ETA Version... However, the second hand seems to be little big... jerky I thought it would be smoother.. Would it be possible that I've gotten a 21J instead of the ETA? Oh... and the second hand is like 5 seconds out of sync after 2 hours or so... is there a fix for that? Authorized manufacutred ETA (then... there are ones that are given to rep makers... or shipped to Switzerland to be polished? or somnething like that) 2. Chinese GZ or something.. copy 3. Seagull. I wasn't even sure tbh if i even got a ETA. But I compared the amount of ticks to a gen Omega seamaster pro, it has the same amount of ticks. Although the rep Rolex had louder ticks. FxrAndy Posted March 16, 2010 Report Share Posted March 16, 2010 No seagull is a brand of its own that has been around for many years, they make a vast part of the worlds mechanical watch works, up to and including minuet repeaters and tourbillons coating $100.000 plus. They have there own brand watches and make what i have found to be some of the most reliable Asian movements. Some folks just remove the stickers... It's not a sign of accuracy one way or another... Can you save one of my pictures, make a line on MS Paint or something so I can measure it exactly for you? No worries, most stuff will be water resistant from the factory, just make sure the crown and caseback are properly closed before getting them wet If you have the knowhow to strip the watch, running it under a faucet is as good a test as any, as it's been said before that reps (and other watches) are more likely to leak under simple immersion, than say if diving, as the pressure on the watch would seal any small breaches, which would not happen under a faucet... If it survives the dunk test, it should stand up to most immersions If you wouldn't be comfortable stripping the watch in the event of a leak, best take it to a professional for a pressure test One member posted photos a while back of a gen Seiko which had fogged up following a leak, so just because something's a rep, (especially the quality available on line) there's no reason to automatically assume it will leak Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
