flyback
My mbw 1680 bezel turns almost freely from 12 to 2 o'clock then is very hard (almost impossible) to turn.. Do you know what can i do to resolve this problem. I have seen this useful link about sub bezel removing but need advice! Thanks! http://www.vikbobil.se/bezel.html Edited September 10, 2006 by flyback
ubiquitous
Sounds like you'll need to tweak the washer spring. Pull the bezel and check it's shape. Adjustments can be made to correct it's feel...

ubiquitous
T'is nothing, sir. The bezel is very easy to pop off. I use a debit card to wedge between the case and the bezel; the plastic of the card is soft and won't scratch the case. Once removed, you'll see the washer spring. It may be bent funny, or there might not be one present at all.

ubiquitous
Some of the supply houses may have them still... I don't quite recall the last place I saw them for sale, but I do remember them costing a dollar or two...
Heywood
Washer spring for 1680 is available from Smith Supply http://www.watchpartonline.com//p72.html. I think Jules Borel has them too.

And.. there is no washer spring! i put the bezel back and it now turns without being too easy or to hard to turn. May be the bezel was not properly installed. One more little thing to buy! david-aussie
I had the same problem. but I ended up just using a thin piece of foam. and now its perfect... still bidirectional bezel...with right amount of friction....
