  1. Jules Borel also has the same gen spec swiss made spring bars in all sizes and configurations. The price is right and shipping is quick and cheap to boot. Watch Case Parts : Brand Specific Parts : Spring Bars | Jules Borel & Co.
  2. Not sure how much you want to spend, but these are available used for a pretty good price. I've seen them from reputable sellers on ebay for around $1500 and up. If you were planning on putting genuine parts on a rep of this you could spend half of that putting together a franken that would never be worth what you put in to it.
  3. The early 1675 had a 1565 gmt movement in it, but the movement was marked 1560, just like the 1575 gmt is marked 1570. Your movement may be totally legit.
  4. It looks like the case back has some serious corrosion, I'd be worried about possible water intrusion. If the price is right you could always send it out to Rolex for a service and have the caseback replaced.
  5. My first guess would be a Tropic 12. If you can post the model number I'll see if it's listed in any of my reference materials to be sure.
  6. @Physher007 , check out pearlparadise.com, they have some great prices on chinese sourced cultured freshwater pearls. The quality is unbelievable for the price. They are totally legit, great service, no hassle returns. I've made multiple purchases and been pleased every time. Great folks to deal with!
  7. I stumbled on this thing while perusing Ebay today. Check it out Ebay "Rolex"
  8. Very sketchy indeed! I hate to see someone get taken for $1K+ for a bogus case.
  9. Same here, I'm on the east coast and the order got here fast!!!
  10. I've had great luck with the aftermarket spring bars sold by Jules Borel. The quality is superb and the price is right too.
  11. Being a bit conservative and fond of some stateside classics I've been wearing Alden slip-ons in various colors and styles nearly every day for the last 15 or so years. They are comfortable the first time you put them on and last forever with proper care.
  12. This seller goes by Ponycar350 on VRF, TZ, Watchnet and other forums. Totally legit. I've done numerous deals with him, deal with confidence.

  14. Thanks for sharing the link. That's awesome. I've been waiting for a correct strap for some time, gotta get one of these.
  15. Looking good! As others have mentioned the case looks a bit too new, but otherwise pretty damn good. Hope you enjoy it.

    Hilarious! Thanks for sharing.
  17. I bought my Explorer dial from Josh. He has a spot in the dealers section here. I think I paid $40USD, shipped, for it. You can find his contact info in his dealer section. You can get the hands on fleabay from Clarks for like $15, or from JulesBorel.com. If you are using a rep case it should be a simple switch of dial and hands. Good luck.
  18. The 5 designates a date function. I think they all are engraved as 1570 whether they have a date or not. The GMT function takes some extra parts. I have a diagram somewhere if you're serious about trying to convert one. I was planning on doing this til I found a 1575 GMT movement at a decent price. If memory serves, it requires a 24 hour wheel, a higher hour wheel, higher cannon pinion and a taller seconds pin (or whatever it's called). If your movement already has a date I think that your about half way there.
  19. Please do let us know how this pans out!

  21. @Mike, sorry for the bad advice. @The Zigmeister, is the ID of the WM9 smaller than a genuine retainer? I was assuming that they were 1:1 as advertised. I commented based on installing genuine bezels on genuine cases with aftermarket crystal and gasket. Working with replica parts really is a crapshoot isn't it, even if they are supposed to be constructed to genuine dimensions.
  22. Should be tight with a new gasket. Fit the gasket on the crystal, then on the case and press on the retaining ring with your press.
  23. That case looks like it's in great shape. Best of luck with the auction!
