Okay, I'll admit I'm still a newbie but I tried the rolled up duct tape method to remove a case back last night and was amazed at how well it worked. Tried a couple other improvised methods and got no where then went for the duct tape and the back twisted right off. Didn't harm the sticker either.

Also, I found this pack of short emery boards today. Figure I'll use the fine side of the boards to smooth my oyster bracelet's edges down a little. Read where Gioarmani says you can use emery boards to do this somewhere.

Anyway, while on the subject of the emery boards, I was wondering if anyone has tried to use these to attempt to shape crown guards before. So, if you have, how did it work out? Thanks.

I think it will take a long time, i use a dremil with flexidrive and cutting disks to rough it out then a silicon polisher to flatten it and then a polishing wheel to finish off

Judging by how long it takes me to smooth out the sharp edges from my Rolex cases, I'd say that reshaping CGs would take a lot of time and a pile of emery boards.
