rkdk
So i decided to get the gen 009bL i was offered, and its absolutely stunning. The pvd coating is so light compared to my reps, and i decided to take some pics. Check it out. PS: Rumour has it, that only 3% of the 009s were produced with the L dial, so i might just have been really lucky. Could be an urban myth though. In the pics an older 009 from davidsen, and a custom 004 job. Supposedly the 004 was pvd coated in the same factory as the original pvds, but comparing to gen, it doesnt seem likely check it out :-) davidsen 009 on the left and custom 004 on the right 0909 crowns

Watchmeister
Ah, so that's what it probably was...cheers! You have no idea how lucky it is that that is all we lost. Cheers to T for catching the database crash as soon as he did and getting it back up so quickly. In any case, congrats on the 9B. I am very jealous. Hopefully I will have a couple of PVD franken projects to show folks which will be the best frankens to date but there is never anything as good as a gen.
