plaifender
Yes. The subdial placement on the 212 is standard Valjoux spacing. On top of that.. no date wheel to worry about. A question of modding the hand to fit the ETA Valjoux handstack.
chiman12
A standard configured ETA 7750 (6-9-12) will not work with a 212, you need to do some serious modding to get it to work. You're better off using an ETA 7753 (3-6-9) and disable the the hour counter or purchase a bi-compax 7753...I think Concepta actually had one. http://www.rwgforum...._1&#entry824270 Once the hour counter is disabled, the rep dial will fit perfectly. It's an expensive proposition to go to a 7753. What would be a really cool project is to try and find a cheap JeanRichard with the flyback movement and make a 212 franken. I almost had my hands on a used one once for less than $800! http://www.buygoodwa...116-11-60e.html Considering that a gen 212 sells on the secondary market for around $8-$10K...a super-franken seems reasonable!!! ewing
Thanks, I'll look into it! But your right, a Jean Richard flyback movt would be killer! :-) jr A standard configured ETA 7750 (6-9-12) will not work with a 212, you need to do some serious modding to get it to work.
